    Rating: 8Reviewed By: Michael%20W04/12/2013
Summary ReviewIf you think of this as the DC Universe expansion to Dominion, you won't be far off as the game play is very, VERY similar to Dominion, though scoring tends to be higher and harder to keep track of during play.
Detailed ReviewIf you like Dominion, you'll like this game. It's that simple. The basic game plays is almost identical. You start with 7 good cards with 1 point of buying power and 3 useless ones. You buy cards out of the center of the table to increase the power of your deck. The set up is a bit different, however. For one thing, Dominion lets you buy anything in the game. In the DC game you don't have that option. Five cards are turned out of the main deck to form a "line up" and those are the only ones that a player can buy during the turn -unless they have enough power to defeat the reigning Super Villian. Cards that are bought immediately go into your discard pile, just like Dominion.

There are a few other twists though. One is that each player starts off with a character card representing a particular super hero and that card grants a special power which can be used every turn. Usually, it has to do with your draw phase at the end of your turn.

The other thing that is noticeably different is that a lot more cards score victory points and several cards do so based on what else you have in your deck - so it's a lot harder to keep track of who is winning than in Dominion since almost every card you buy helps your victory point total. In fact, almost every card you buy helps your victory point total.

The art work is also quite solid and appropriately comic book-looking.

All in all, this is a good solid game that should appeal to anyone who likes Dominion and/or comic books.
