Summary Review	This is my first foray into the deck-building genre- and I am not disappointed whatsoever. A sign of a great game is this: Even though you've been playing it frequently, you don't stop wanting to play even more. That applies to this game, without question.
Detailed Review	I have never played a deck-building game before this game. I have been told time and time again how good Dominion is, how good Thunderstone and Ascension is, so on and so forth. I looked into all of them time and again, but I wanted something that clicked with me, personally, to be my first experience. It was on a recommendation that I sought this game, and fortunately for me, Guild of Blades had it in stock. The box is deceptive. It's very small, doesn't offer too much insight into the treasures inside, but it does let you know that there are just over 500 cards inside of it. That fact alone made me excited and a little nervous (great, more sleeving to do). I opened the box and, much to my amazement, everything was tightly packed. The Game Night Productions even provided organizer tabs so you can sort the cards by category. However, this game is published by a very small company and there are some mistakes. Check out the board game geek page for corrections. The designer is an avid user and will answer whatever questions you have. This also applies to the ruling, one of the game's few shortcomings. Aside from the ruling, you essentially overpower the game after a point. The game consists of you and up to 5 other people defending a town. Everything is represented by an appropriate card and most of the various rules and applications can be found printed on each one. You are constantly playing, buying, and discarding cards. It has a very nice pace to it. It's a bit complex at first, but I've taught friends and family within just a couple of turns. It has a spectacular cooperative element that does away with the concept of a turn order. On the Heroes Action turn, you and your party can openly and freely discuss actions, share gold, and devise strategies while you combo cards and defeat various threats. Thematically, everything clicks in nicely with the mechanics of the game. This is a great game for a game night. One of those few games where everyone involved feels purposeful, powerful, and has a lot of fun. Buy this game if anything I've mentioned sounds good to you at all.
