Summary Review	Ingenious Fantasy Flight Games 2-4 players, solitare option, 30-60 minutes Ingenious is a tile laying abstract strategy game> The tiles a double hexagons connected at one edge and the board is a giant hexagon. The board scales in size based on the number of players. On each side of the double hex tiles are one of six symbols, each symbol is in a unique color particular to that symbol, some have 2 of the same symbol. You score on a track with a seperate point value for each of the 6 different symbols. The objective is to place tiles in a way to create lines of the same symbol and scoring points based on the length of ther line.
Detailed Review	Ingenious Fantasy Flight Games 2-4 players, solitare option, 30-60 minutes Ingenious is a tile laying abstract strategy game> The tiles a double hexagons connected at one edge and the board is a giant hexagon. On each side of the double hex tiles are one of six symbols, each symbol is in a unique color particular to that symbol, some have 2 of the same symbol. However, the next player can build of of the line too and score using your hard work. The strategy is to build points for yourself while blocking off the other players. The really tricky part is at the end game, the winner is determined by who has the highest score in their lowest scoring symbol, so you must develope each symbol equally or you will not win. Players have a rack of six tiles and draw from a bag at the end of their turn. It is possible to trade in your rack at the end of your turn if you have no tiles with a symbol of your lowest scoring symbol at that time. You can also place 2 tiles in one turn when you reach the 18 point mark of any one symbol. The game ends when there are no more places to place tiles. There are more tiles than spots on the board so not every tile will be played in every game. Components: the board is nice and thick, the tiles are black plastic. theres also a drawstring bag to draw from and tile racks to keep your pieces on. has a score track for each player and a bunch of colored cubes to use as markers on the scoring track. Solitare option is a game where you place one tile from the bag, then another after that until the board is full and you total all of your symbols on the scoring track trying to beat your personal best score This is a great strategy game, there is almost no luck involved other than which tiles you draw. There is always a lot of choices to be made to try to maximize your availble options. There really isnt a theme other than "pure startegy". It is also very simple but has a lot of depth.
