    Rating: 7Reviewed By: Michael W02/18/2016
Summary ReviewThis is a pretty solid game overall. It lets you play as either the original crew or the Next Generation crew. The game play is very straightforward and very easy to pick up. You can start playing almost right out of the box. Luck of the draw can make a big difference in game difficulty though, but it's cooperative so you all win or lose together.
Detailed ReviewThere is a lot to like about this game. The game play is very simple and straightforward. You can teach it to almost anyone in minutes. It is also a cooperative game with no individual winners. Either you win or lose completely as a team, making it a relaxing friendly game to play and one you can socialize easily while the game is going on. Once the players determine whether they wish to play as either the orginal or Next Genertaion crew, players take turns drawing missions then rolling dice of various different colors, which are placed onto various missions in an effort to resolve the missions. The art on the game cards is quite nice. While a small thing, it was nice that the manufacturer even included the necessary plastic bags to easily store the cards neatly away after use.

The big down side to the game is that the missions can vary in difficulty even within the various levels, so luck of the draw can be a big factor in ease of victory. Get lots of tough missions, tough combinations, or cards that make you draw extra missions and it can be pretty challenging - or if the dice abandon you. On the other hand, if you can resolve some easy missions early and avoid drawing the really nasty ones (especially in groups), it can actually be very easy. Because it is completely cooperative and a suitable game to be socializing while playing, this isn't as much of a deal breaker as it would be in a more competitive game. But it would still be nice if the overall play difficulty was more consistent - or controllable.
