Free Comic Book Day 2024 @ GOB

GOB Is happy to announce the store will be hosting the 2024 Free Comic Book Day celebration on Saturday, May 4th this year. Learn to Play D&D - Saturday, May 4th (Free event)
Greetings,
We have received a lot of interest from players looking to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons and assistance to find or start player groups. This year, GOB Retail launched a monthly D&D Game Day on the first Saturday of each month (Free event). Next D&D Game day event will be on Saturday, May 4th.
2 sessions are included:
Session 1:
From 4pm to approx 5:15pm GOB staff will host a learn to play D&D session. During this session we will go over the concepts of D&D from creating a character, what role the Dungeon Master serves, how the DM lays the scene and how players interact/role play within the scenes/scenarios given. We'll go over role-playing, the basics of combat resolution, manners of play.
Session 2:
At 5:30 PM to close will be an open Dungeons and Dragons game session. Dungeon Masters who wish to run a game will be encouraged to give us details in advance, which we will promote to our membership and on our website. Players from the learn to play session and/or more experienced players would be welcome to jump into the various game sessions planned for 5:30.
DMs, If you would like to set up a D&D Game on GOB D&D Game Day, please let us know. We will reserve your tables and seats and put the messages out for new and other players to join your session. Please email gobretail@gmail.com :- Session name- ideal character levels- if players can bring their own characters or you will be offering pre-generated characters for use. Please also provide a short description of the session setting or theme and anything else you would like players to know.
We hope this event will both help new players to get started with D&D and the community at large organize new play groups.
