Magic Trick or Treat Sealed Event @ GOB Sat Oct, 26th
GOB is happy to announce we will be running a trick or treat Magic the Gathering Sealed event on Saturday, October 26 starting a 5:30pm
Deck Format:
- Sealed. Players will build a 40 card (min) deck from 4 packs of Duskmourn and 2 randomly drawn packs from a pool of Phyrexia: All Will Be One Collector Boosters and Convention Edition Mystery Boosters.
Play Format:
- Players will play 3 rounds of swiss pairing. Best 2 out of 3 games. 45 minute rounds.
Cost:
- Entry will be buying 4 Duskmourn Play Boosters (to be held for you for the day of the event). The Collector's Boosters and/or Convention Edition Mystery Boosters you get as your 5th and 6th packs are free with the event.
Prizes:
- Top 2 players will get foil promo Lotus Petals. All players will receive some promo cards, with type and quantity dependent on ranking.
This event can support a maximum of 18 players. We recommend registering in advance.

Selling your Magic Bulk Collections @ GOB Retail
Do you have a lot of Magic cards to sell? Don't have time or specific valuable cards you want to sell to us as singles?
We take unsorted collections and offer a per card bulk rate for the whole collection. We can review a collection quickly and have you out the door in just a few minutes. Here are a few quick things to know.
1) We will take all Magic cards from all sets and all periods.
2) These should be general collections. A mix of cards typically found in a players collection, including commons, uncommons and rares. A highly sifted through collection without rares and only the most useless of other cards we would have to decline.
3) Basic land cards are ok, within limits. Maybe 1 in 12-15 cards at most though.
4) Cards have to be playable. Your cards can be old. They can be warn and well played. But they can't be water damaged, have mildew, etc.
5) You don't need to count them. We can quickly measure against storage boxes to arrive at fairly accurat estimates. Hand counting thousands of cards would be an act of insanity.
6) We can not accept cards that are written on, proxy cards, counterfeit cards or the advertising cards. Collections with much of any of these would have to be declined.

What constitutes a large collection?
Things like closing stores, large estate sales, personal collections
from serious lifetime collectors, manufacturer liquidations, etc.
As a general rule, if you can fit the items into your car or van and
drive it to GOB, it is NOT a large collection. We would still be
interested in it. Please bring it to the store when you can. Refer to
GOB's buy lists above.
What Kinds of Large Collections Does GOB Buy?
For used merchandise, we are looking for the same types of products we
buy from our local customers. Role-playing books, comics, graphic
novels, Magic and other trading card games, Funko pops, D&D/Pathfinder
pre-painted miniatures, etc.
For store closings and liquidations, we will also consider new
merchandise along the lines of the types of products we sell, from
board games, 40K and other miniatures, RPGs, graphic novels, funkos,
puzzles, Gundam and other models, Magic, Pokemon, statues and assorted
pop culture merchandise.
For closing stores, GOB is unlikely to be interested in store
fixtures. Especially not floor fixtures or displays, but may consider
smaller point of sale dumps, counter displays and merchandisers, etc.
How Far Away Can the Merchandise Be?
That depends. It costs time and labor to bring a van or truck
anywhere. The further away, the greater the costs. GOB is in Michigan.
Up to several states away for the right collections is normal. Out to
the east coast or even on the west coast, the volume within the
collection would have to be extraordinary to warrant the cost.
